My Story
Roger Sahota is a Solicitor Advocate specialising in complex fraud, regulatory and criminal defence. He has featured in many high-profile criminal trials representing defendants from professional backgrounds including two Head of State international trials as well as numerous serious domestic fraud and criminal cases. As a solicitor and advocate he has worked alongside some of the most famous barristers in the country and international lawyers and forensic experts of repute.

The first Solicitor Advocate to appear in a war crimes trial in the Hague, Roger is an internationally recognised and highly respected lawyer and advocate whose practice encompasses international and domestic criminal law, human rights and public international law.
Roger has featured in many high-profile criminal trials representing defendants from professional backgrounds and advised in “impact cases” that raise novel or difficult issues of fact or law with an international, political or civil liberties component.
Roger has acted as counsel in two Head of State trials including theProsecutor v Prlic at the Yugoslav Tribunal and the Prosecutor v Charles Taylor at the Special Court for Sierra Leone. He has received judicial praise for his advocacy in the Hague including his closing speech in the Prlic trial.
